Pendulums are great and easy ways to talk to spirit and your spirit guides!
First, you will have to establish which way means what. Your pendulum may swing left to right for yes, while for others up and down can mean the same thing! For me, up and down means no, left and right means maybe, and clockwise circles mean yes.
An easy way to learn which way means what for you is to draw a circle and add two lines to quarter it, like this:
Place your elbow on a table for stability, and hold the pendulum about a foot away from you, above the middle of the circle. Use your pointer finger and your thumb to hold the chain or ball attached to the end.
Ask simple questions like “Am I called (name)?”, “Am I a (male/female)?”, or “Am I (age)?”. The pendulum should swing by itself. Try asking different obvious yes or no questions until you establish what means yes, no, and maybe.
Once you establish the different directions and what they mean, you can begin to ask deeper questions that you don’t actively know the answers to. The answers to questions with deep emotional significance can be swayed based on what you most desire through subtle movements of our hands, so keep that in mind.

Using a pendulum may be natural for you, but if you are having difficulties – persevere! Try using it for at least fifteen minutes a day and in no time you’ll be a natural!
